Update: Fire marshal rules Hamburg foundry fire accidental

A 3-alarm fire caused extensive damage at Fairmount Foundry, an iron-casting facility at Front and Pine streets in Hamburg Borough.

A State Police fire marshal ruled the accidental, which originated in the electrical room.

Hamburg Borough Police report that on May 3 at about 8:09 p.m.

Fire marshal investigating 3-alarm fire at Hamburg foundry

A 3-alarm fire damaged Fairmount Foundry in Hamburg on Thursday night, May 3.

Fire crews responded at 8 p.m. at the iron-casting facility at Front and Pine streets in Hamburg Borough. No injuries were reported. A State Police fire marshal is investigating.
