Hamburg fatal mock crash teaches teens dangers of distracted driving

A fatal mock crash scene played out in front of Hamburg High School on May 24.

Hamburg Police Chief Anthony Kuklinski said the goal is to teach students to fully focus on their driving and not be distracted.

“Understanding taking your eyes off the road for a minute or two could certainly cause a crash exactly like this, where someone could die,” he said.

Exeter May Days Awards recognize students; festival rescheduled to July 20-21

The community committee for Exeter May Days announced on May 17 that due to the current weather patterns, most events will be moved to a weekend in July.

The new dates for the Exeter Mays Days Community Festival will be Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21. The same format will be followed with Movie Night on Friday, July 20, and most events including fireworks on Saturday, July 21.

Exeter High School senior Elizabeth Good awarded PA American Water's Stream of Learning Scholarship

Pennsylvania American Water announced 12 students across Pennsylvania have been selected to receive Stream of Learning Scholarships, including Exeter Township Senior High School senior Elizabeth Good, who plans to attend Lafayette College to study biology.

“We are proud to reward Elizabeth with one of our Stream of Learning Scholarships, which are meant to attract extraordinary young people to the water and wastewater field and become leaders in environment stewardship,” said Pennsylvania American Water President Jeffrey L.

Teacher retires after more than 30 years in Upper Darby
