Safe Berks recently celebrated the opening of “Los Retratos de mi Voz” (The Pictures of my Voice), a Photo Voice Project, at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, in the Main Lobby. This photo collection will be on display in the GoggleWorks through April 28. This exhibit is offered during April, in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The Hamburg Salvation Army Family Store and Donation Center will celebrate its 1st Birthday Party at the store, located at 700 South 4th Street, Hamburg, on Saturday, April 21, between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Reading Symphony Orchestra will host an inaugural celebratory event on Sunday, May 6, at 5:00 p.m. at the Neag Planetarium at the Reading Public Museum. Titled “Desserts – Harmony in Red” (after the famous Matisse painting), the event will honor Berks County philanthropists Sandy Solmon and Doug Messinger.

Fleetwood Community Theater is presenting the Spring Show “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” by Ken Kesey and Dale Wasserman and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. The show will be held at 5 Arch St., Fleetwood, April 20, 21 at 7:30 p.m. and April 22 at 2:30 p.m.
The 14-member cast is directed by Kenneth Dreistadt, who has been in various other positions with Fleetwood Community Theater.

Kutztown Area School District dedicates its new stadium on Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m.
Prior to the grand opening, the Kutztown Class of 2021 will host the fourth annual “Running of the Cougars” 5K and Fun Walk. The race will begin at noon, with prizes awarded in multiple categories.
The stadium grand opening will include the dedication of the stadium and track, thank you to all donors, and the presentation of the Cougar Pride Capital Campaign proceeds by the KASD Education Foundation.
