The Reading Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) honors the top senior girls as of the first semester in all 19 Berks County high schools with a monetary honorarium. All these young women are planning to attend a four-year accredited college in the fall.
AAUW also awards graduate-level scholarships to Berks County women pursuing full- or part-time study for a graduate degree. An additional scholarship program is available for mature Berks women returning to school who are pursuing education leading to a certification, licensing or a degree at a two- or four-year accredited institution. Applications are due by May 26 and May 29, respectively. Applications are available on the AAUW Reading Branch website: reading-pa.aauw.net.
