Reading, Pa. – Albright College will celebrate the opening of its new Wrestling Garden Patio with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 6th, 2025, from Noon to 2:00 PM at the Wrestling Garden Patio next to the Turtle Dome. The event will honor the legacy of Albright Wrestling and recognize the athletes, alumni, and supporters who have contributed to sport’s success.
Albright President Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D., and City of Reading Mayor Eddie Moran will be in attendance, alongside student-athletes, alumni, and members of the local community.
“The Wrestling Garden Patio is more than a gathering place. It’s a symbol of the maximizing our campus assets and creating new opportunities for student success,” said President Townsley. “We’re excited to celebrate this moment with our students, alumni, and community partners.”
Mayor Moran will join President Townsley in officially cutting the ribbon, marking the dedication of the space as a lasting tribute to the sport and its impact on campus and in the Reading community. The ceremony will be followed by a tour, where guests will have an opportunity to connect, reflect on wrestling’s rich history at Albright, and look forward to its future. The public are invited to attend.
