Berks baseball roundup: Kutztown’s Ashton Dunn shuts down Pequea Valley

Ashton Dunn pitched pitched shut-out ball into the seventh inning as Kutztown defeated Pequea Valley 3-0 in a non-league baseball game on Tuesday.

Bunn struck out three and gave up seven hits in 6 1/3 innings for work.

Chris Bergstrom recorded the save, getting the last two outs.

Dunn also was 1-for-3 with a run knocked in. Colton Mathias, also 1 for-3, also had an RBI for the Cougars.

Allentown Central Catholic 11, Brandywine Heights 2

Nolan Young went 3-for-3 with two RBI to lead Allentown Central Catholic to an 11-2 win over Brandywine Heights.

For the Bullets, Matthew Sterner had three hits and Ethan Bollinger had two hits.

Berks Catholic 6, Conrad Weiser 0

Owen Schalk and Henry Pflomm each knocked in two runs as Berks Catholic defeated Conrad Weiser 6-0 on Tuesday.

For the Saints, Michael Fidler pitched five innings of three-hit ball, striking out six. Cole Harter got the save, pitching the last two innings, striking out four.
