Berks basketball roundup: Record-setting night for Brandywine Heights girls

Addison Benner became Brandywine Heights’ all-time scoring leader in girls basketball on Monday night when she scored 25 points in the Bullets’ 59-33 win over Antietam.

Benner, a senior guard, now has 1,274 career points, surpassing Deanna Dadonna (2015) who had 1,253 points.

Benner surpassed Dadonna in the first quarter when she scored 12 points as the Bullets raced to a 26-12 lead.

Benner added six points in the second quarter, had five in the third quarter and two in the final period.

The Bullets led 32-17 at halftime.

Lauren Stoudt and Sophia Benner each had 11 points for the Bullets.

Airyanna Jones led Antietam with 11 points.

Gov. Mifflin 52, Reading High 42

Bella Super scored 15 points and Brooklyn George and Mia Vasquez each added 12 to lead Gov. Mifflin to a 52-42 win over Reading High.

For the Red Knights, Xiani Beatty had 12 points.

Berks Catholic 61, Daniel Boone 25

Madison Langdon scored 19 points to lead Berks Catholic to a 61-25 win over Daniel Boone.

For the Saints, Sydney Corado had 13 points and Molly McFadden chipped in 12.

Aayla Hofer scored 14 points for the Blazers.

Wilson 50, Muhlenberg 36

Laura Crocona, Jade Lee and Ryan Leaman combined for 37 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 50-36 win over the Muhls.

Crocona had 13 points and Lee and Leaman 12 apiece.

For the Muhls, Kenleigh Brill had 12 points.

Hamburg 37, Schuylkill Valley 32

Norah Davey scored 13 points to lead Hamburg to a 37-32 win over Schuylkill Valley.

Amelia Gassert chipped in 11 points for the Hawks.

For the Panthers, Hannah West had nine points.

Oley Valley 55, Tulpehocken 30

Isabella Buehler scored 15 points and Julia Wagner had 14 to lead Oley Valley to a 55-30 win over Tulpehocken.

Also for the Lynx, Kaydyn Rhoads had 11 points.

For the Trojans, Juliet Snyder had 12 points.

Wyomissing 57, Fleetwood 26

Amaya Stewart scored 21 points as the Spartans defeated the Tigers 57-26.

Stewart scored all her points in the first three quarters and did not play the last quarter.

Conrad Weiser 44, Exeter 31

Alex Trevena scored 18 points and Geniva Paul added 12 as the Scouts defeated the Eagles 44-31.

Kutztown 54, Saucon Valley 21

Kaitlyn Hauptley scored 14 points as Kutztown defeated Saucon Valley 54-21.

Cocalico 48, Twin Valley 35

Kira Lehman scored 24 points to lead Cocalico over Twin Valley.

For the Raiders, Delaney Hoover had 12 points and Lauren Williams added 10.

Boys

Wyomissing 74, Conrad Weiser 69

Dom Arguelles scored 23 points to lead the Spartans to a 74-69 win over the Scouts on Monday.

Conrad Weiser led 16-6 after the first quarter and 37-27 at halftime, with Arguelles scoring eight points in the quarter to keep the Spartans in the game.

In the third quarter, Dan Fleischood and Birkley Ziegler each scored six points as the Spartans pulled to within a point at 47-46 with one quarter to play.

In the fourth quarter, Arguelles made 7 of 8 free throws as the Spartans completed the comeback.

Fleischood finished with 17 points and Ziegler 14 for the Spartans.

For the Scouts, Donovan Gingrich had 26 points.
