Organizers of the Berks Book Bonanza are calling on the community for donations to help make their sale a success.
Volunteers of the nonprofit organization will extended their donation collection hours beyond the previous announced March deadline. They will now be accepting donations of gently-used hardcover and paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and games through June 14.
Donations will be accepted through March 31 at the rear entrance of the Berks County South Campus at 400 E. Wyomissing Ave. in Mohnton on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Expanded hours will begin in April at the following times:
• On Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon
• On Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m.
• On April 12, May 10 and June 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.
A complete list of acceptable donations is available on the Berks Book Bonanza website, berksbookbonanza.org.
Book Bonanza is run by more than 70 volunteers. The proceeds from the sale are split evenly between the Friends of Berks County Libraries and the local branch of the American Association of University Women.
