from Berks County Public Libraries
Berks Book Bonanza is preparing to open its doors to the public this Friday, Sept. 20, in a three-day mini-sale at its new home in Mohnton. Shoppers are cautioned to pre-plan their route to 400 E. Wyomissing Ave. due to bridge construction in the immediate area. Detour information is available at www.berksbookbonanza.org/sale-information.
The long-awaited event is expected to draw a large number of shoppers to the sale and will continue to offer the same wide variety of gently used materials, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles, and other items. Prices will remain the same with regular items priced at $2.00 and under. Collectibles, coffee table books, and sets will be priced as marked. Sunday will also be the Bag of Books sale. Bags are $5.00 each and must be purchased at the sale. Volunteers will be restocking shelves throughout the entire weekend.
The annual fundraiser benefits two local organizations—the Friends of Berks County Public Libraries and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Reading Branch. Proceeds are distributed to public libraries in Berks County, along with providing scholarships to women.
