Berks Catholic lost to Lancaster Country Day 5-0 in the District 3 Class 2A team final Wednesday at Hershey Racquet Club.
In the third-place match, Delone Catholic defeated Conrad Weiser 3-2 at Robesonia, denying the Scouts (13-3) a spot in states. Weiser had qualified for the PIAA team tournament in the previous five seasons.
The Saints (12-4) already had qualified for states by reaching the final and will face the District 6 champ on Tuesday, Oct. 24. It will be Berks Catholic’s first appearance in the PIAA team tournament since 2017.
The title was the second straight for Lancaster Country Day (15-0).
Delone Catholic (15-1) qualified for states for the first time.
