On Monday, Oct. 7, Alvernia University will host a discussion entitled “Trust in Our Elections: A Community Conversation” at the Tom and Helen Flynn Complex, 400 Saint Bernardine St., Reading, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Keep Our Republic and the Berks County Bar Association.

Former Federal Circuit Court Judge Tom Vanaskie will join Berks County Solicitor Cody L. Kauffman and Pennsylvania Department of State Policy Director Michael McDonald for the discussion, which will be moderated by Dr. Victoria Williams, Professor of Political Science at Alvernia University.

Many voters have little information on how our election process works, including what happens after they cast their ballots. This informative, nonpartisan event is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the 2024 election process and equipping our community to be able to recognize and address misinformation surrounding election integrity.
