Berks girls basketball: Amaya Stewart leads Wyomissing over Berks Catholic

Division 1 recruit Amaya Stewart scored 21 points to lead Wyomissing to a 37-34 high school girls basketball victory over Berks Catholic on Monday night.

Stewart, who has committed to the University at Albany, scored 10 points in the third quarter as the Spartans took a 31-25 lead in the final period.

In the fourth quarter, she scored four points as the Saints outscored the Bulldogs 9-6 but couldn’t overcome the six-point deficit.

For Berks Catholic, Sydney Corado scored 13 points.

Schuylkill Haven 52, Hamburg 16

Audrey Hutchinson scored 17 points to lead Schuylkill Haven to a 52-16 victory over Hamburg on Monday.

Steelton Highspire 49, Antietam 36

Brooklyn Wilkins scored 19 points to lead Steelton Highspire to a 49-36 victory over Antietam on Monday.

For Antietam, Airyanna Jones had 19 points.

Lancaster Country Day 48, Schuylkill Valley 39

Sophia Sanchez scored 24 points to lead Lancaster Country Day to a 48-39 win over Schuylkill Valley on Monday.

For the Panthers, Hannah West scored 15 points.

Wilson 52, Dallastown 46

Kailani Hardy scored 21 points to lead Wilson to a 52-46 win over Dallastown on Monday.

Hardy had nine points in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs outscored Dallastown 20-12 in the final eight minutes to rally for the win.

Violet Houck added 11 points for the Bulldogs.
