Zach Suski threw three first-quarter touchdown passes and Berks Catholic cruised to a 55-6 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 5 football win over Pequea Valley on Friday night.
Suski hit Bryce Gumby with a 44-yard touchdown pass, then connected with Owen Schalk on a 12-yard score and then hit Scott Duffy with a 57-yard touchdown pass with 1:09 left in the first quarter and a 21-0 lead.
Nate Rose scored on a 29-yard run with 2:58 left in the first half to make it 28-0 at intermission.
Xavier Gerald had touchdown runs in the third quarter, one a yard out and the 21 yards, as the Saints rolled.
Rose, 42 yards, and Hunter Boyer, 19 yards, had the last two Berks Catholic scores.
Berks Catholic had 507 total yards in the game.
Berks Catholic is 2-2, 1-0; Pequea Valley is 2-2, 0-1.
Wilson 50, Reading High 6
Madyx Gruber threw four touchdown passes as Wilson opened play in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League with a 50-6 win over Reading High on Friday night.
Gruber threw scoring passes to Brady Kline (25 yards), Jaiden Carpenter (5 yards), Correll Akings (69 yards) and Cam Zullinger (6 yards).
Monty Greer scored on a 95-yard run and also threw a 57-yard touchdown to Mike Glover.
Gabe Laws scored from 4 yards out for Reading High’s only points.
Wilson is 3-1, 1-0; Reading High is 1-3, 0-1.
Muhlenberg 55, Lebanon 36
Javiehn Ortiz scored three touchdowns as Muhlenberg defeated Lebanon 55-36 in a Lancaster-League Section 2 game Friday night at Lebanon.
Ortiz scored on runs of 70, 2 and 3 yards.
Michael Miller and Cameron Small each had two touchdowns for the Muhls.
Miller caught a 31-yard pass from Ortiz for a touchdown and ran for one from 10 yards out.
Small scored on runs of 51 and 9 yards.
Muhlenberg is 3-1, 1-0; Lebanon is 0-4, 0-1.
Twin Valley 51, Elco 7
Evan Myers threw three touchdowns and Evan Johnson rushed for two as unbeaten Twin Valley rolled to a 51-7 win over Elco in a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 game on Friday night.
Myers hit Matthew Knight with a 19-yard touchdown pass less than a minute into the game and then Johnson scored on runs of 4 and 45 yards to make it 22-0 after the first quarter.
Myers connected with Patrick Shanahan on a 29-yard touchdown pass and Ben Grundy on a 50-yarder before halftime. Those scores were sandwiched around a 1-yard scoring run by Lucas Myers.
The Raiders led 44-0 at halftime.
Twin Valley is 4-0, 1-0; Elco is 1-3, 0-1.
Octorara 10, Daniel Boone 8
Chandler Stoltzfus scored on a one-yard run in the third quarter to lift Octorara to a 10-8 Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 football win over Daniel Boone on Friday night.
Octorara led 3-0 at halftime on a 35-yard field goal by Austin Kurtz.
Daniel Boone went ahead 6-3 in the third quarter when quarterback Haydn Moyer connected with Blake Elliott on a 43-yard touchdown pass. The point after was blocked.
The Blazers got a safety late in the game for the final margin.
Moyer completed 7 of 10 passes for 108 yard, and Dominic Stoudt completed 5 of 12 passes for 53 yards.
Harrison Delissaint (53 yards) and Max Heffner (37) each caught four passes.
Daniel Boone is 0-4, 0-1; Octorara is 3-1, 1-0.
Hamburg 27, Annville-Cleona 14
Quarterback Tyler Shuey rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as Hamburg defeated Annville-Cleona 27-14 in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 5 game on Friday night.
Shuey scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter to make it 7-0 and then broke a 7-7 tie with a 16-yard scoring run to make it 13-7.
In the third quarter, Shuey hit Ty Werley with a 38-yard touchdown pass, and then after Annville-Cleona scored, Werley ran back the kickoff 51 yards for a score a 27-14 Hamburg lead.
Shuey passed for 80 yards and rushed for 61 in the game.
Hamburg is 3-1, 1-0; Annville-Cleona is 1-3, 0-1.
Schuylkill Valley 50, Kutztown 24
Logan Nawrocki threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as Schuylkill Valley defeated Kutztown 50-24 Friday in a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 5 football game.
Nawrocki started the scoring with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Luke Spotts, and then made it 14-0 on a 4-yard run.
Kowen Gerner closed out the first quarter scoring, returning a fumble 30 yards for a touchdown and a 21-0 Panther lead.
Kutztown’s Ian Bahr scored from two yards out and Gerner caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Nawrocki to make it 28-8 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Spotts (11 yards) and Gerner (6 yards) caught scoring passes from Nawrocki.
Schuylkill Valley is 2-2, 1-0; Kutztown is 0-4, 0-1.
