Originally enlisted then commissioned through Officer Candidate School. Served in the infantry, then as a pilot. Flew 892 combat missions in Vietnam and was shot down five times. Earned a Silver Star, 45 air medals, a Meritorious Service Medal and numerous other military decorations.
Elected to Berks County Military Hall of Fame. Retired as a lieutenant colonel. Member of the Exeter School Board. Cofounder of the Berks County Military Museum.
Deployed to the Caribbean, Vietnam, Mediterranean, North Pacific, Philippines, Okinawa, Korea and Norway.
Now: Employed as a Realtor.
