About 140 Berks County veterans were treated to a Thanksgiving luncheon on Monday sponsored by Penske Trucking and Leasing sponsored the luncheon at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading.
Veterans Making A Difference was responsible for inviting the veterans, and this year marked the largest turnout by veterans who came from Heritage of Green Hills, Phoebe Berks, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131, Veterans Making A Difference, Penske, and veterans from American Legion Post and Marine Corps League. Some of those attending have been inducted into the Berks County Military Hall of Fame. The oldest veteran in attendance was 98.
