Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club donates $17,000 to community

Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club recently announced it has made $17,900 in contributions to benefit local communities this year.

“As a proud member of Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club, I am privileged to contribute to our collective efforts in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others,”  Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club Board President Kristen Duffy said in the release. “Through our dedication to service and collaboration, we support important causes, and foster positive change within our community.”

The club year, which runs from September through May, is filled with meetings, community events, and fundraisers.

Their biggest fundraiser is their annual Girls’ Night Out Basket Raffle in March, which raised more than $17,000. This year Operation 143 received a significant percentage of the monies raised. A check in the amount of $12,500 was presented to Lisa Heverly, executive director, at BJWC’s end-of-year banquet gathering.
