The Rochester Institute of Technology named the following area students Outstanding Undergraduate Scholars for this academic year: Ariana Shchuka, Exeter Township, who is in the photographic and imaging arts program; and Carolyn Higgins, Morgantown, who is in the physician assistant program.
Honor societies
The following area students were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines: Bonnie Clark of Blandon, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; Grace McKee of Gilbertsville, Kutztown University.
James Hornickle of Spring Township was inducted into the Beta Beta Beta national honor society for biology at the University of Scranton. He is a senior biochemistry and molecular biology major.
