The Yocum Institute for Arts Education is thrilled to present Matilda the Musical, a production showcasing the extraordinary talents of the community’s performers of all ages. This beloved story of an extraordinary girl with a vivid imagination and the courage to change her destiny is perfect for audiences of all ages.
Performances will be held at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, 3000 Penn Ave., West Lawn, on the following dates and times:
- Saturday, Dec. 7 – 2 p.m. | 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Dec. 8 – 2 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 12 – 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 13 – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 14 – 2 p.m. | 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.yocuminstitute.org or at the front desk of the Yocum Institute. There are eight shows and availability is limited, so be sure to secure your seats early for this family-friendly production!
“We are excited to bring Matilda the Musical to our stage, combining humor, heart, and unforgettable music to create an unforgettable theatrical experience,” said Andrea Kennedy Hart, director of the production.
Matilda the Musical is based on the novel by Roald Dahl and features music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Dennis Kelly.
