Daniel Boone, Exeter advance in BCIAA boys team tournament; Conrad Weiser, Boone move on in girls

Daniel Boone and Exeter advanced to the semifinals of the BCIAA boys team bowling tournament Tuesday at Berks Lanes, while Conrad Weiser and Daniel Boone moved on in the girls team tournament.

The semifinals are Wednesday at Berks Lanes at 3:15 p.m.

In boys, the Blazers defeated Hamburg 2,885-2,854, and the Eagles beat Schuylkill Valley 2,964-2,582.

Patrick Moore had a 630 series and Hunter Smathers a 608 to lead Berks I third-place Boone, which will face defending champ and Berks I champ Wilson in the semis. Aaron Hix rolled a 636 to lead Berks II runner-up Hamburg.

Keith Lerch rolled a 678, Ethan Reimert a 608 and Colson Tsakonas a 600 for Berks I runner-up Exeter, which will meet Berks II champ Antietam in the semis. Braiden Lash had a 611 for Berks II third-place Schuylkill Valley.

In girls, the Scouts defeated Exeter 1,980-1,865, and the Blazers beat Hamburg 2,399-1,774.

Courtney Britton had a 501 series for Berks II runner-up Weiser, which will face defending champ and Berks I champ Gov. Mifflin in the semis. Kassandra Dotterer rolled a 513 for Berks I third-place Exeter.

Julia Maggs had a 547 for Berks I runner-up Boone, which will take on Berks II champ Schuylkill Valley in the semis. Makaylnn Ammon rolled a 438 to lead Berks II third-place Hamburg.

Both finals will be Thursday at Berks Lanes at 3:15 p.m.
