Fire companies responded to a garage fire at a two-story residence in the 700 block of College Boulevard, Maxatawny Township.
The initial call came in around 6 p.m. Reports said paint and trash cans were on fire and pushed against a garage door, with the fire spreading up the door and house siding. Crews arrived at around 6:05 p.m., according to reports from the scene.
Two dogs were heard barking inside. Fire crews forced entry into the house and the dogs were removed by around 6:20 p.m. The fire was declared under control around the same time.
