SNACKTIME, Soul Papi, Tequila Mockingbird, Pumpkin Palooza, The Squonks headline a month of free programming in Reading
READING, PA – October 1, 2025 – GoggleWorks Center for the Arts will continue its 20th Anniversary celebration throughout October with a series of free, all-ages events showcasing its new open air stage, world-class performances, and community-driven creativity.
Festivities begin on Friday, October 3 with the inaugural concert on the brand-new Thorn Alley Stage, headlined by nationally renowned SNACKTIME and featuring local favorite Soul Papi at 6pm. Thorn Alley, the newest addition to the GoggleWorks Art Park, features a dynamic state-of-the-art production system, beautiful greenspace, and direct connections to indoor amenities including a full bar, free galleries, and artist studios. A ribbon cutting with political representatives and community partners will take place at 5pm.
On Sunday, October 12 from 11am–3pm, GoggleWorks will host Pumpkin Palooza 2025, an outdoor fall festival anchoring the anniversary year. The celebration will feature hundreds of hand-blown glass pumpkins, hands-on workshops, pumpkin-themed treats, and family activities across the former goggle factory campus. Crowds will also enjoy live music by Tequila Mockingbird on Thorn Alley Stage and live pumpkin carving by artist and GoggleWorks Wood Studio Manager Derek Weidman. “Our updated campus was designed to bring people together; welcoming everyone onto Thorn Alley Stage for live music and art-making is the perfect start of a new chapter,” said Jesse Futter, Marketing Director at GoggleWorks. This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Dolan Construction, who recently received a “Building Berks” Award from the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance for constructing the new Art Park and Thorn Alley Stage.
The month concludes on Saturday, October 25 with a free IX Concert featuring Purple Lung, The Squonks, and Voice from the Machine, held during the massive IX art conference. IX is the largest gathering of imaginative realism art and artists in the country, so GoggleWorks selected artists that explore imaginative soundscapes.
All events are free, all ages, with registration available at goggleworks.org.
