Gospel Jubilee to be held at Albright College Chapel [Religion Digest]

• The Reading branch of the NAACP presents a Gospel Jubilee, “Let Our Voices Echo Freedom,” on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Albright College Chapel, 1621 N. 13th St., Reading. There will be performances by United Voices of Worship, Community Mass Choir and other local performers, including church choirs and praise teams. Free.

• The Annie M. Gaul Concert Series presents Centre Park Flutes on Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. John’s (Hain’s) United Church of Christ, 591 N. Church Road, Lower Heidelberg Township. Admission is free.

• Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will have a soup, salad and bread supper on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in the parish hall. Holden Evening Prayer will be held at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by Lenten Bible study at 7:30 p.m. in the parlor

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold Coffee and Conversation at 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Welcome Center. Lenten services will be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

• SaraAnn Harbonic will be the guest musician at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Richmond Township, during the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Harbonic is a senior at Fleetwood High School.

• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will offer Bible study Tuesday at 9 a.m. by Zoom. Email maryettamest@gmail.com for information. The Conrad Weiser noon Lenten service and meal will be held on Wednesday at St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church, 480 Big Spring Road, Heidelberg Township, with the Rev. Jen Dee as preacher. On Thursday, a free community meal called Soup ‘n’ Such will be served from 4-6 p.m.  At the same time, the free Children’s Clothing Closet will be open to everyone in the community.

• Epler’s Church United Church of Christ, 1151 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, is holding a Food and Faith Night on Friday. Food begins at 6 p.m., faith (informal worship) begins at 7 with special music by Brian Gibson.

• Bausman United Church of Christ, 1064 Penn Ave., Wyomissing, will be having its annual pork and homemade sauerkraut  dinner next Saturday from 4-6 p.m., eat in or take out. The dinner includes roast pork with homemade sauerkraut, sides and dessert for $10 for adults and $6 for children 6-12. Orders must be submitted by Wednesday. • St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will offer a free drive-through, take-out meal today from 4:30-5:30 p.m. No registration necessary. Lenten worship will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

• Cindy Miller-Aungst will play the flute during the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township. On Wednesday at 6 p.m., there will be a meal of soup and bread followed by a time of going deeper into faith at 6:45.

• Holly Walter will play “Arioso” on the flute for centering music during the 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship services on Sunday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood.

• People with special needs/IDD, their friends and families are invited to Bern Lutheran Church, 820 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, on Tuesday for the Berks Festival of Faith free supper and worship. Dinner is from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The worship service begins at 5:45.

• Bern Reformed United Church of Christ, 3196 Bernville Road, Penn Township, will host a multidenominational Lenten luncheon of soup, sandwiches and desserts on Wednesday at noon, followed by a brief worship message reflecting upon Jesus’ “I Am” proclamations..

In order to have an event listed in the religion digest, it must be something that is not just a regular worship service.
