Isaac Eichelberger scored on a penalty kick with eight minutes left to lift West Shore Christian to a 2-1 win over Kutztown in a District 3 Class 1A boys soccer quarterfinal game Wednesday at Shiremanstown.
The seventh-seeded Cougars (13-7) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Cayden Ciccone off an assist by Ashton Dunn with 8:42 left in the first half.
Second-seeded West Shore Christian (16-1) tied it two minutes later on a goal by Seth Lehman.
The Cougars had a 8-6 advantage in shots
West Shore Christian will play Mount Calvary Christian, a 1-0 winner over York Catholic Wednesday, in a semifinal Saturday at 4 p.m.
Greenwood 3, Brandywine Heights 1: At Mertztown, the fifth-seeded Wildcats (15-2-1) got goals from Lucas Beaver, Bennett Brinser and Sam Myers to defeat the fourth-seeded Bullets (17-5) in a District 3 Class 1A quarterfinal.
Greenwood will play at top-seeded Tulpehocken, a 4-0 winner over High Point Wednesday, in a semifinal Saturday at 7 p.m.
