Jerome Kapp caught four passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns to help visiting Kutztown defeat Milllersville 20-13 Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East game.
Kapp, a Boyertown grad, caught a 23-yard TD pass from Donny Blaine in the second quarter to give the Golden Bears (5-1, 7-2) a 13-6 lead. He then scored on a 60-yard pass from Blaine in the fourth quarter to put KU up 20-12.
The Marauders (3-3, 3-6) got within 20-13 on a 15-yard pass from Robert Footman Jr. to Eli Workinger with 10:57 left.
Millersville had the ball three more times, but never got closer than the Kutztown 42.
Blaine completed 13-of-29 passes for 258 yards.
Jordan Davis scored on an 11-yard run in the first quarter for the Golden Bears, who won their fifth straight. Darryl Davis-McNeil had 96 yards rushing on 23 carries for KU.
King’s 41, Alvernia 14: At Alvernia’s Turf Field, the Golden Wolves (1-5, 2-6) managed just 43 yards rushing in falling to the Monarchs (6-1, 7-1) in a Middle Atlantic Conference game.
King’s scored 14 points in each of the first two quarters to take a 28-0 lead.
Alvernia scored in the third quarter on a 9-yard pass from Monte McMorris to Owen Morton, and in the fourth quarter on a 35-yard pass from Kyle Stanton to Neeko Scurlock.
FDU-Florham 10, Albright 2: At Madison, N.J., the Lions (0-6, 0-8) managed just 132 yards of offense in losing to the Devils (3-3, 5-3) in a Middle Atlantic Conference game.
Albright, which lost its 15th straight, had 97 yards rushing on 46 carries and 35 yards passing.
FDU-Florham scored all its points in the second quarter. Chris DeMedio kicked a 30-yard field goal and Brendan Davis caught a 33-yard pass from Ryon Thomas.
