The Tri-Valley Lions Club honored Kara Brown as the March 2024 Outstanding Student of the Arts.
The Tri-Valley High School senior was selected for her talent in handcrafted art. She is a daughter of Lori and Kyle Brown and resides in Klingerstown.
Brown is in the agricultural curriculum. She shared crocheted, woodworking and ceramic projects she created.
She was captain of the color guard in the marching band, a member and president of the FFA and treasurer of the National Honor Society. She is a member of the Distinguished Honor Society and has been an officer of the FFA since 10th grade. She plans to attend Penn State University to study animal science.
