LOWER POTTSGROVE — Roadway reconstruction is planned next week on Route 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township, PennDOT announced.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
• Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., a periodic lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges.
• Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a periodic lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
