Northern Berks students head back to school (PHOTOS)

Bright yellow school buses rolled up and down streets across Berks County and the county’s 18 public school districts opened their doors for another school year.

The Brandywine Heights Area School District was among the first in the county to welcome students back to school for 2025-26. The Bullets returned to the classroom on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The following day Hamburg Area School District students celebrated their first day back to school on Thursday, Aug. 21.

TheFleetwood Area School District welcomed students back to school with the mantra “Start fresh, dream big!” on Monday, Aug. 25.

Kutztown Area School District students returned to classes on Tuesday, Aug. 26. At Kutztown Elementary School, students posed with a sign that read, “Color the world with kindness.”
