Here are some of the outstanding performances by Berks high school athletes for the week of Sept. 9-14:
Boys cross country
Gov. Mifflin’s Garrett Hyneman won in 16:37.33 to help the Mustangs defeat Conrad Weiser 15-50, Muhlenberg 15-45 and Oley Valley 18-41.
Girls cross country
Daniel Boone’s Julia Leady won in 20:30 to help the Blazers defeat Berks Catholic 23-36, Reading High 20-37 and Hamburg 15-50.
Field hockey
Wilson’s Sydney Adams scored two goals to help lead the Bulldogs to a 4-1 win over Twin Valley.
Football
Conrad Weiser’s Donovan Gingrich went 11-for-11 passing and threw for 222 yards along with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown to help the Scouts remain undefeated with a 35-7 win against Fleetwood.
Golf
Muhlenberg’s Amari Allen shot par 33 at Willow Hollow to help lead the Muhls to a 149-153 over Exeter.
Boys soccer
Conrad Weiser’s Gavin Rapp scored two goals and had an assist to help lead the Scouts to a 5-0 win over Exeter.
Girls soccer
Wyomissing’s Sophia Zeppos scored three goals to lead Wyomissing to a 5-0 victory over Hamburg on Wednesday.
Girls tennis
Exeter’s Shyna Morales won a singles match to help lead the Eagles to a 5-2 win over Hamburg.
Girls volleyball
Schuylkill Valley’s Paige Chase had 10 aces, 17 assists and 3 kills to help the Panthers earn a 3-0 win over Antietam.
Boys water polo
Wilson’s Ephram Murray had 10 saves to help lead the Bulldogs to a 14-7 win over Cumberland Valley.
Girls water polo
Gov. Mifflin’s Maddie French scored five goals to lead the Mustangs to a 15-6 victory over Exeter.
