The following information is taken from police reports and court records.
Crash: On March 21 about 9:10 p.m. state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 209 Road in Porter Township. David Fique, 56, Auburn was driving east on Route 209 and struck a deer. Fique was not injured.
Assault: On March 18 about 8:15 p.m. state troopers Schuylkill Haven, Frackville and Jonestown responded to East Main Street in Tremont for a fight involving three men. One of the men suffered serious injuries and was transported to Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment. The other two men, Donovan Reed, 20, and Jonathan Bohr, 21, both of Tremont, were charged with aggravated assault. Both men were placed in Schuylkill County Prison.
Crash: On March 18 about 5:30 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 125 (Tremont Road) north of Sweet Arrow Lake Road in Pine Grove Township. Scott Delinko, 34, Pine Grove, was driving south and rear-ended a stopped SUV operated by Stacy Shalters, 41, of Gratz, who was waiting to make a left turn onto Sweet Arrow Lake Road. Delinko and his passenger were not injured. Shalters and all three of her passengers were injured and flown by a medical helicopter for treatment.
Crash: On March 17 about 8:40 a.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 895 (Summer Valley Road) north of Stephens Road in West Brunswick Township. Justin McClure, 34, of Kaska was driving westbound when he lost control on a curve and his vehicle struck a guide rail.
Crash: On March 16 about 2:30 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 61 south of Mall Road in Norwegian Township. Jessica Grim, 36, of Tamaqua was stopped at a stop light when her vehicle was rear-ended by a northbound vehicle driven by Diane Labenski, 57, of Hegins. Grim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital East for treatment. Labenski was not injured.
Crash: On March 15 about 4 p.m., state police responded to an accident on West Second Mountain Road near Haven Fair Lawn Drive in North Manheim Township. Catrina Carlson, 18, of Orwigsburg, was westbound and attempted to avoid hitting an eastbound vehicle. Her car left the road, struck a tree stump and spun. There were no injuries.
Crash: On March 15 about 5:15 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 443 (Suedberg Road) west of Short Lane in Pine Grove Township. Cameron Achenbach, 18, of Pine Grove, was driving eastbound and Joseph Taylor, 18, of Schuylkill Haven was westbound. Achenbach tried to turn left into a parking lot and broadsided Taylor’s pickup. No one was injured.
Counterfeiting: On March 10, about 12:10 p.m., state police responded to the report of a theft involving counterfeit money. Two people used counterfeit $100 bills at the Giant at the Cressona Mall in North Manheim Township. An investigation continues.
Crash: On March 9 about noon, state police responded to an accident on Route 61 north of Penn Street in West Brunswick Township. Gina Callavini, 43, of Tamaqua was southbound in the left lane passing a tractor-trailer driven by Schuyler Eady, 40, of Hampton, Va. Callavini’s vehicle slid on a patch of ice in the left lane and went across both lanes, striking the tractor-trailer. Her vehicle spun and came back across both lanes, striking an SUV head on that was driven by Michael Nairn, 66, of New Ringgold. No one was injured.
Crash: On March 7 about 7:40 p.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 895 (Market Street) just west of Summit Lane in West Brunswick Township. Jeremy Reinert, 29, of Auburn was eastbound when his vehicle went off the road and struck a ditch. Reinert was not injured.
Scattering rubbish: State police are investigating a complaint from a Williamstown man of someone dumping bags of trash on his property at George Street in Porter Township between March 3 and 8.
Burglary commercial force: State police are investigating a burglary at Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Ashland, that occurred between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. Someone broke in and stole a desktop computer valued at $800, a credit card, a $300 check and $40. Damage was estimated at $1,500. Anyone with information is asked to contact troopers at Schuylkill Haven at 570-754-4600.
Disorderly conduct: On March 5 about 4 p.m., Clayton Bixler, 47, of Hegins called state police at Schuylkill Haven inquiring about retrieving his shotgun that had been taken as evidence in a separate investigation. He was advised of the proper procedures. Troopers determined Bixler was heavily intoxicated as he continued to call troopers there and at Frackville a total of 11 times in an hour, yelling profanities and acting disorderly. He was located at his home where he did not follow troopers’ commands and was taken into custody .
