The following information is taken from police reports and court records.

Criminal Mischief: On May 3, state police investigated an incident at Bear Creek Drive and Wild Turkey Lane in East Brunswick Township. Someone used a large rock to damage a man’s mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Frackville at 570-874-5300 and reference incident number PA2023-574425.

Megan’s Law: State police said Jason Stephany, 36, Pottsville, violated Megan’s Law, which requires sex offenders to register with authorities. He admitted to using a Facebook profile under a name that is not registered with the PA State Police Megan’s Law unit. Stephany was charged with two felony counts out of District Court in Orwigsburg, and bail was set at $50,000.

Theft: State police are investigating a theft from a pickup truck on April 25 at about 2:20 a.m. in the area of Chestnut and North Race streets in East Brunswick Township. Someone entered the unlocked pickup and stole items valued at more than $500. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Frackville at 570-874-5300 and reference incident numbers PA2023-538019.

Burglary: State police are investigating a burglary in the area of Gamelands Road in East Brunswick Township. On April 25 at about 2:30 a.m., someone entered a shed and stole tools and other equipment valued at more than $2,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Frackville at 570-874-5300 and reference incident number PA2023-538002.

Drug Possession: On April 24 at about 11:45 p.m., a state trooper on patrol in Pine Grove Township came in contact with Harvey Lymaster, 56, Pine Grove, and found him to have active warrants. Suspected methamphetamine was discovered on his person. Lymaster was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison.

Burglary: State police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from an RV and a 2006 Ford at Sunrise Storage, Orwigsburg. The thefts occurred sometime between Feb. 26 and April 10.

Theft: On April 10 at about 1:30 p.m., state police responded to South Route 183 in Wayne Township for a reported theft. Through investigation, it was determined that the Pottsville man mailed a check to an unknown female in the amount of $650. The investigation is ongoing.

Crash: On April 10 at about 4 p.m. state police responded to  an accident on Fair Road in Wayne Township. A car driven by Nathan Sutton, 30, Schuylkill Haven, collided with a pickup truck driven by Alexia Welch, 19, Palmyra. Both vehicles were disabled from the crash. There were no injuries. Sutton was cited for the accident.

Lost Property: State police are investigating a Remington 30-06 hunting style rifle missing from Berne Drive in South Manheim Township. It was reported missing on April 7.
