Progress Shines Bright at Reading’s Pagoda: Mayor Morán and Media Tour Landmark Renovations

From City of Reading

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, Mayor Eddie Morán joined members of the media for an exclusive tour of the ongoing rehabilitation work at Reading’s beloved Pagoda.

The tour was led by Capital Projects Manager David Anspach III, who provided an in-depth look at the progress being made to restore and modernize the historic landmark while preserving its rich character and cultural significance. The Pagoda rehabilitation project has reached several major milestones, marking a significant step forward toward reopening the site to the public.

“This restoration brings us one step closer to reopening our city’s most recognizable symbol,” said Mayor Morán. “I’m grateful to everyone working to ensure the Pagoda remains a safe, beautiful, and welcoming space for generations to come.”
