Royals alter roster ahead of home-and-home series with Adirondack

The Reading Royals announced several changes to their roster on Thursday.

Defenseman David Drake signed a professional tryout contract with the AHL’s Providence Bruins. Drafted by Philadelphia in 2013, Drake has played for a Flyers affiliate since 2018.

This year, Drake had two points in 18 games with Reading. He saw action in 136 games with the Royals over the span of three seasons.

Goaltender Pat Nagle was recalled from loan by Lehigh Valley. Nagle played in 12 games for Reading this season, posting a team-leading 2.58 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.

Defenseman Ryan MacKinnon was loaned from the Phantoms to the Royals. He has recorded no points in four games with Lehigh Valley this year.

Fellow defenseman Mason Millman was reassigned from the Phantoms to Reading. Drafted by Philadelphia in 2019, Millman has three points in 15 games with Lehigh Valley over the last two seasons.
