The Orwigsburg Area Free Public Library is holding a Run For the Books fundraising 5K run/walk on Sept. 16 starting at Albright’s Woods, 300 Grove St.
Check-in and same-day registration starts at 8 a.m. The 5K event begins at 9, followed by a 1-mile fun run at 10.
The 5K course is. on blacktop and some grass. See www.orwigsburglibrary.org for a map.
There will be ample parking and free refreshments. Free T-shirts for those who register by Sept. 1. Prizes for top finishers.
Entry fee for the 5K is $25 before Sept. 1; $30 after that date. Fun run (for ages 12 and younger) is $15 before Sept. 1, $20 after.
