Wreath and Swag Workshop: 10 a.m.- noon, Saturday, Nov. 11. Friedemsburg Fish and Game Clubhouse, 169 Stone Mountain Road, off Church Road on west side of Friedensburg. Register at schuylkillExt@psu.edu select workshops from menu box and type wreath in search bar, deadline is Nov. 3. Registration is $10 plus $20 for wreath materials or plus $10 for the Swag kit. Class size limited to 25 participants. Master Gardeners will assist with construction of both wreath and swag as needed. Supplies include greens, wire, ribbon, and decorative natural materials. Bring your own gloves, wire cutters, pruners and if desired, personal decorations. Educational topic will cover some of the newer insects of concern to gardeners. Festival of Trees: Decorating begins Nov. 14 at Walk In Art Center, 220 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven. The event runs for two weeks. Area school and civic groups, and nonprofit organizations can decorate a tree and raise money for their organization. Golf Tournament: Registration: 9 a.m.; scramble: 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, Hidden Valley Golf Course, Pine Grove. Hosted by The Brookside Bombshells softball team, this golf scramble benefits Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The cost of admission is $70 per golfer or $280 per four-person team. Admission includes green fees, cart, steak dinner and prizes. The deadline to register is Oct. 31. Golfers will have chances to win prizes and participate in games throughout the day. Hole-in-One sponsor Schaeffer’s Harley Davidson is offering a motorcycle or ATV valued up to $15,000. Other games include closest to the pin, longest drive, pot of gold, putting contest, basket raffles and 50/50.
