The following information comes from police reports and court records.
Crash: On Feb. 10 at about 9 a.m., state police responded to an accident on Forest Drive near Main Street in Hegins Township. Bruce Brandt, 76, Pitman, lost control of its SUV, and it overturned into a ditch. A passenger in Brandt’s SUV, was transported to Geisinger in Danville for her injuries.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 183 S. near Blue Mountain Road on Feb. 5 at about 2:30 p.m. Brett Brossman was driving north on Route 183 and swerved into the southbound lane. His SUV was struck by a car driven by Paul Churlik, 60, Poland, Ohio. Both the Jeep and Pontiac had disabling damage and were towed. No injuries were reported.
Theft: On Feb. 4 at about midnight, state police were dispatched to Flicker Road and North Tremont Street in Reilly Township for the report of 6 tons of stolen iron brake rotors and a stolen Caterpillar Scrapper battery. Police continue to investigate.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 61 in North Manheim Township on Feb. 2 at about 4 p.m. Heather Moss, 54, New Ringgold, was driving north on Route 61 and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Dean Singley, 57, Auburn, as they were turning left into Manheim Road. Damage was minor, and there were no injuries.
Crash: State police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Oak Grove Road near Circle Drive in Pine Grove Township on Feb. 1 at about 9:30 p.m. Delaney Grace Talmadge, 18, Tower City, was driving east on Oak Grove Road, traveling at a high rate of speed, and her vehicle overturned as she was negotiating a curve. Talmadge was transported to Lehigh Valley East by Pine Grove Community Ambulance. The vehicle was towed.
