Tri-Valley Lions Club news

Hailey Lettich is the Tri-Valley Lions Club April 2023 Outstanding Student of the Arts in recognition of her talent in art and music. She is a daughter of Christine and Aaron Lettich and resides in Hegins. She is a senior at Tri-Valley High School. She participates in concert and marching band while playing the xylophone, archery, and stage crew in drama club.

She is a consistent Distinguished Honor Roll student. Her activities outside of school include roller derby and working at AllStars over the summer. Hailey plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology for game and simulation programming.

Melvin Jones Fellowship

Lion Dorothy Brown was presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship by District Governor Lisa Leon and accompanied by Past Council Chair Ronald Dietz at the PA Lions District 14-U Convention. Dorothy has been a member of the club since June 2004. She is the club secretary and held the position of club president and club secretary in the past.

The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the backbone of Lions Club International Foundation , providing 70% of the foundation’s revenue. A recognition of humanitarian  work, an MJF is awarded to those who donate $1,000 to LCIF or to people for whom a donation was made by others. Melvin Jones Fellows receive a lapel pin, a plaque and a congratulatory letter. The MJF is LCIF’s highest honor.

New member recognition

Tri-Valley Lions Club new member Mark Brown and his sponsor, Dorothy (Morgan) Brown, were recognized along with new members from other clubs in the district at the recent PA District 14-U Convention.
