The U.S. women’s national soccer team will return to Chester on October 23, with a friendly against Portugal in Chester.
The game is scheduled for 7 on a Thursday night. It will include a pregame tribute to Alex Morgan, who retired from soccer at the end of last season. Morgan scored the first of her 123 international goals (in 224 caps) in Chester on Oct. 6, 2010 against China.
This is the ninth all-time visit to Chester, where the U.S. women have never lost. The last game there was April 20, 2022.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Aug. 1 at 10 a.m., with various insider presales beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The game is part of a three-game slate in the October international window for the U.S. It plays Oct. 26 against Portugal in East Hartford, Conn., and an Oct. 29 match against an opponent to be announced for the first visit to Kansas City’s CPKC Stadium, the first purpose-built women’s soccer stadium in the United States. Goalie Alyssa Naeher, who retired from international soccer at the end of 2024, will be honored before the game in Hartford.
