Wernersville Public Library Partners With Penn State Berks on PA Forward Financial Literacy Programs for College-Bound Students

From Wernersville Public Library

On Thursday, Feb. 6, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Wernersville Public Library will be partnering with Penn State Berks for a three-part series regarding college preparation. This is a free event and open to the public. Participants will receive tips on financial aid/scholarships, resume and college application building, and a college student panel for personal stories and advice.

Maria Gerasklis-Long, library director, stated: “We are looking forward to this partnership as it will help us to promote our PA Forward goals of providing financial literacy to our community and creating the opportunity for those interested in the college process without having to pay fees to get valuable information.”

The library will conclude the series by having the youth services programmers conduct a Cooking for College Kids program. This is for any college-bound student looking to work on their basic cooking skills before heading off to college.

The dates of each program are as follows:

The entire program series will take place at the Wernersville Public Library, 100 N. Reber St., Wernersville. Free on-site parking is available.
