The Wilson girls volleyball team saw the best season in school history end with a 3-0 loss to top-ranked Parkland in the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals Saturday at Spring-Ford High School.
The District 1 champion Trojans (24-0) won by game scores of 25-22, 25-11, 25-16 against the District 3 runner-up Bulldogs (21-5).
Wilson, which won the Berks title, was coming off the first state playoff victory in school history, a 3-0 first-round win over Central. The Bulldogs also set a school single-season record with its 21st win. They won 20 games last season.
Parkland will play District 1 champ Garnet Valley — a 3-0 winner over Lower Merion Saturday — in the semifinals Tuesday at Upper Dublin High School at 7 p.m.
