One person is dead after a one-vehicle overnight crash on Interstate 78 eastbound just before the Hamburg exit, state police said this morning.
The crash happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. Monday at mile market 29.7 in Tilden Township, troopers at the Hamburg station said.
The driver lost control and the vehicle plowed through guide rail along the shoulder before stopping about 50 feet south of the interstate.
The passenger was found to be deceased.
Troopers withheld the name of the passenger pending notification of their family. The name of the driver also was withheld.
