Crews were called to a head-on crash Saturday night on Route 737 in northern Berks County.
Emergency reports were that a pickup truck and a car collided south of Stony Run Valley Road in Albany Township shortly after 6:30 p.m.
Crews were told the occupant of the car was not moving and not breathing.
Route 737 was being closed at Stony Run Valley and Oswald roads and traffic was being detoured.
Shortly after arriving on scene, a fire chief reported that the occupant of the car was dead and asked for the coroner’s office.
He asked for the approaching apparatus to slow down. The pickup truck driver was not hurt, according to reports.
