3 NASA rockets may be visible in Lehigh Valley, eastern Pa. sky Wednesday night

Three NASA rockets scheduled to launch Wednesday night could be visible to residents across eastern Pennsylvania.

The Turbulent Oxygen Mixing Experiment Plus, or TOMEX+, is scheduled to launch between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. from the Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia, the facility posted on social media. The launch had been scheduled Monday and Tuesday, but weather and cloud conditions postponed the launch.

Weather permitting, those in southeastern and eastern Pennsylvania may see the rocket when it launches, NASA said.

Three rockets will be launched five minutes apart to study a super-cold layer of the atmosphere, according to the facility. It will also release vapor clouds, which could be visible in the sky.
