All of southeastern Pennsylvania in a winter weather advisory

Driving is expected to get tricky on Friday.

Delaware County and all of southeastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, is in a winter weather advisory for all-of-the-above wintry precipitation until 6 p.m.

That’s on top of a wind advisory, a wind chill advisory and, only in Delaware County, a coastal flood warning.

Conditions are likely to go downhill in a hurry during the afternoon with wind speeds kicking up to 40-plus miles per hour as an arctic air mass invades, kicking off a new round of precipitation, this time frozen.

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, N.J., said this: “Any snow accumulation will be minor but the main concern will be sudden reduced visibilities and a quick freezing of any wet surfaces leading to icy conditions.”

Behind the front, the temperature is expected to tumble into the single digits by daybreak Saturday with any standing water outside freezing over.

Power outages are expected, as the winds knock down limbs and lines.
