Berks baseball playoffs: Wyomissing upsets Twin Valley in quarterfinals

Sixth-seeded Wyomissing upset third-seeded Twin Valley 8-7 in the quarterfinals of the BCIAA baseball playoffs on Thursday.

The Spartans advanced to Saturday’s semifinals to play the winner of second-seeded Wilson and seventh-seeded Berks Catholic, which was stopped on Thursday because of inclement weather.

Zander Westwood, who had 2 hits including a triple, and Daniel Noey, who also had 2 hits, each drove in 2 runs for the Spartans.

Teddy White, Ryan Graham and Birkley Ziegler also had 2 hits each for the Spartans.

For the Raiders, Brody Majeski had 3 hits.
