Berks baseball roundup: Fleetwood wins; Gov. Mifflin improves to 4-0 [updated]

Ashton Hartkopf tripled and knocked in three runs as Fleetwood defeated Upper Perkiomen 11-1 in six innings in a high school baseball game on Monday.

For the Tigers, winning pitcher Tyler Dilbeck went four innings, not giving up a run, allowing just three hits and striking out three. He also had two hits and knocked in two runs.

Also for Fleetwood,  Brayden Sobjak had two hits and scored two runs.

Gov Mifflin 3, Elizabethtown 1

Ethan Grim pitched four innings of shutout ball, striking out nine, as Gov. Mifflin defeated Elizabethtown 3-1 in a non-league game on Monday.

Grim allowed just two hits. Evan Glucksnis pitched the final three innings, not allowing a run, striking out four and allowing just two hits to earn the saves.

In the bottom of the first inning, Bryce Detwiler hit a double and two batters later, Travis Jenkins hit a double to drive him in and open up the scoring.

In the bottom of the second, Billy Angstadt had an RBI groundout to drive in Matt Koehler who had led off the inning with a double.

In the bottom of the 4th, Billy Angstadt hit an RBI double to give Mifflin a 3-0 lead.

The Mustangs, the defending PIAA Class 5A champions, improved to 4-0.

Schuylkill Valley 16, Antietam 3

Tristan Goda had four RBI and Dimitrios Aletras (two hits) added three runs knocked in as Schuylkill Valley rolled to a 16-3 win over Antietam in five innings on Monday.

Also for the Panthers, Logan Nawrocki and Chase Keller each had two RBI.

Salinger Kehs-Ross pitched 2 1/3 innings to pick up the winning, striking out six and allowing one hit and one earned run, while walking four.

Tulpehocken 4, Lancaster Mennonite 2

Jarred Baer drove in three runs as Tulpehocken defeated Lancaster Mennonite 4-2 on Monday.

Grant Gehman pitched five scoreless innings to get the win, striking out 12 and allowing just one unearned run. Aidan Schwalm pitched the last two innings, striking out three and allowing one run on one hit.

Exeter 12, Garden Spot 1

Jake Hafer had went 3-for-3 with four RBI as Exeter beat Garden Spot 12-1 in five innings on Monday.

Hafer also went the distance on the mound, striking out eight and allowing one hit and one unearned run.

Matthew Woram and Brenton Feathers each had two hits for the Eagles.

Oley Valley 9, Pottsgrove 0

Winning pitcher Chase Kegerise went 2-for-3 with three runs knocked in as Oley Valley defeated Pottsgrove 9-0 on Monday.

Gryffin Cappellano went 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Lynx, Russell Leach went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Danny Fries and Timmy Fries each had two hits.

Kegerise pitched five scoreless innings, striking out six and allowing just two hits.

Brandywine Heights 10, Lancaster County Christian 0

Brady Lieb threw a five-inning no-hitter as Brandywine Heights defeated lancaster County Christian 10-0 in a non-league baseball game on Monday.

Lieb struck out 10 and walked just one batter.

For the Bullets, Lieb, Jaxton Henry and Tommy Clark each had two RBI.

Reading High 14, Harrisburg 1

Jibsam Rodriguez doubled and knocked in three runs as Reading High defeated Harrisburg 14-1 in six innings on Monday.

Also for the Red Knights, Janser Paredes went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Winning pitcher David Garcia went five innings, allowing just the one run, striking out eight and giving up just four hits.
