Berks basketball: Shermar Killen leads Muhlenberg over Conrad Weiser

Shermar Killen scored 22 points to lead Muhlenberg to a 68-56 victory over Conrad Weiser on Tuesday in boys basketball.

The Muhls trailed 37-36 at halftime, but Jaden Perez scored seven points and Killen five as Muhlenberg took a 54-48 lead into the fourth quarter. In the final frame, Killen scored six points and Eli Hemmings made five of six foul shots.

Perez finished with 13 points, Michael Miller 12 and Hemmings 11.

For the Scouts, Donovan Gingrich had 18 points, Gavin Rapp 16 and Brady KcKee 10.

Wilson 44, Gov. Mifflin 41

Madyx Gruber scored 19 points to lead Wilson to a 44-41 win over Gov. Mifflin on Tuesday.

Gruber scored five points in the fourth quarter, including 3 for 4 from the foul line to hold off the Mustangs, who outscored the Bulldogs 15-8 in the final frame.

Correll Akings had 9 points for the Bulldogs.

For the Mustangs, Matt Koehler had 17 points and Ian Fleming 12.

Wyomissing 72, Hamburg 61

Dylan Latourelle led four Spartans in double figures with 19 points as Wyomissing defeated Hamburg 72-61 on Tuesday night.

Latourelle had 12 points in the third quarter as the Spartans outscored the Hawks 24-18.

Birkley Ziegler had nine of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as Wyomissing had a 22-17 edge in that frame.

Dom Arguilles had 15 points for the Spartans and Brady Eisenhower chipped in 12.

For the Hawks, Ty Werley had 12 points and Yeremin Hernandez and Rickey Clark each had 11.

Kutztown 66, Oley Valley 59

Chris Bergstrom scored 26 points to lead Kutztown to a 66-59 victory over Oley Valley in overtime on Tuesday night.

In the overtime period, Bergstrom scored seven of Kutztown’s nine points, making a two-point shot and five free throws.

Tyler Hewitt added 19 points for the Cougars.

For Oley, Luke Turchi scored 15 points, Benjamin DeBalko and Tristin McFarland each had 13 and Evan Fisher 11.

Antietam 63, Tulpehocken 32

A.J. Scheifley scored 25 points to lead Antietam to a 63-32 victory over Tulpehocken on Tuesday night.

Scheifley had 14 points in the first half as Antietam led 30-20 at the break.

Noel Coste scored six points in the fourth quarter as Antietam outscored the Trojans 16-2.

Jonas Coste added 12 points for Antietam. Aidan Schwalm had 8 points for the Trojans.

Daniel Boone 54, Twin Valley 40

Brendan Gaines scored 20 points to lead Daniel Boone over Twin Valley on Tuesday night.

Gaines had seven points in the fourth quarters as the Blazers outscored the Raiders 17-13

Harrison Delissaint had 16 points for Daniel Boone.

For the Raiders, Riley Gray had 12 points.

Girls basketball

Wyomissing 45, Hamburg 15

Amaya Stewart scored 18 points to lead Wyomissing to a 45-15 win over Hamburg on Tuesday.

Stewart, who had committed to play collegiately at the University at Albany, had nine points in the first quarter as the Spartans took a 22-9 lead.

Alexis Hardy chipped in 12 points for Wyomissing.
