Berks bowling: Wilson boys, Gov. Mifflin girls to defend titles when tourney starts Feb. 18

Daniel Boone’s boys and girls teams, along with Wilson boys and Gov. Mifflin’s girls, received byes in the BCIAA Bowling Championships.

Wilson is the defending champion in the boys tournament and Gov. Mifflin is the defending champ in the girls tourney.

The tournament opens Feb. 18 with four quarterfinal matches at 3:15 p.m. at Berks Lanes – two in boys and two in girls.

In the boys matches, Wyomissing, second place in Division 2, faces Exeter, third place in Division 1. In the other match, Gov. Mifflin, second place in Division 1, rolls against Hamburg, third place in Division 2.

The winner of the Wyomissing-Exeter match faces Wilson, the Division 1 winner, on Feb. 19 at 3:15 p.m. in the semifinals. The winner of the other quarterfinal match goes against Daniel Boone at the same time in the other semifinal.

The boys championship match is at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 20.

In the girls quarterfinals on Feb. 18, Division 2 runner-up Hamburg takes on Division 3 third-place finisher Wilson. The other quarterfinal pits Division 1 runner-up Exeter against Division 2 third-place finisher Twin Valley.

The Hamburg-Wilson winner faces Division 1 winner Gov. Mifflin in the semifinals at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 19. The other semifinal pits Division 2 winner Daniel Boone against the Exeter-Twin Valley winner.

The championship match is Feb. 20 at 3:15 p.m.

All matches are at Berks Lanes.
