Caraline Herb scored a season-high 26 points to lead Berks Catholic to a 49-39 win over Eastern York in the District 3 Class 4A girls basketball third-place game Thursday at Wolf Gymnasium.
The Saints (20-7) will open play in the PIAA Tournament on the road against the District 12 runner-up on Saturday, March 11.
Second-seeded Berks Catholic led 15-4 after a quarter, 25-20 at the half and 34-26 after three against fourth-seeded Eastern York (17-8).
Herb was 6-for-6 from the line, helping the Saints shoot 14-for-17.
Molly McFadden had 10 points for Berks Catholic.
Arianna Seitz led the Golden Knights with 17 points.
