Berks Catholic grad Kyran Mitchell has been named to the All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference first team after he helped lead Washington & Jefferson to the conference championship.
Mitchell, a 6-3 junior, averages 16.8 points for the Presidents, sixth in the conference; 3.3 steals, first; 4.9 assists, second; and 8.6 rebounds, seventh.
He had 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Washington & Jefferson’s 68–63 win over Chatham last Saturday for the PAC championship, the Presidents’ first in 27 years.
Washington & Jefferson (24-4) gained an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament and will play 16th-ranked Elmhurst (Ill.) in the first round Friday night at 6:40 at Elmhurst.
