Berks churches schedule Christmas bazaars [Religion Digest]

• St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road Douglassville, Amity Township, will hold its annual Christmas bazaar next Saturday from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. The bazaar will feature a variety of handcrafted items and a raffle. Mince, shoefly and coconut cream pies will be sold. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., visitors will find Santa and Mrs. Claus at the bazaar’s photo booth. The photos taken with Santa are $5 per family and all of the proceeds will go to the church’s Child Development Center. At 10 a.m., students of flute instructor Anne Weiser will present a flute recital. Food options include egg casserole with sausage, a vegetarian egg casserole and pancakes with or without waffles, pulled pork sandwiches, hamburger/cheeseburger, hot dogs, french fries, soups and gingerbread waffle and ice cream sandwich. • United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will have refreshments and fellowship after the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Bible study is offered by Zoom on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Email mestme@aol.com for the link. “The Chosen” video, Bible background and discussion will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Call 610-741-8815 for additional information. The church will hold its Christmas bazaar next Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township, will hold its craft show and bazaar today from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Kristen Diehl will be the guest musician during the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Friedens United Church of Christ, 337 Main St., Oley. The church will hold its annual bazaare next Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a white elephant sale along with a basket raffle. There will be a choice of homemade soups, cookies, shoofly pies, cakes, apple crisps, hamburger and turkey barbecue along with potato filling. Eat-in and take-out will both be available.

• St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Molltown, 219 Maidencreek Road, Richmond Township, will hold a combined Harvest Home and Thanksgiving service on Nov. 24 that will include special music by Linda and Mike Hertzog. Donate non-perishable food items, which will be collected and delivered to the Keystone Military Families Center in Shoemakersville.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will bless quilts made by members and friends during the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Coffee and Conversation will be held at 8:30 and 10 in the Welcome Center.

• Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Centre Ave., Reading, welcomes the Rev. Kim Adamson as guest preacher, with special music by guest flutist Glenn Fisher, at its 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

• Community United Church of Christ, 3330 St. Lawrence Ave., St. Lawrence, will hold a Christmas bazaar next Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The event includes breakfast, lunch, cookies, soup, potato filling, basket raffle, crafts and an indoor flea market with a $2 bag sale at noon.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will hold a free, drive-through take-out meal today from 4:30-5:30 p.m. No registration required.

• Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will have Thanksoffering during its worship service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

• The Rev. William Fryer will be the guest pastor at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township, for the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, which will be followed by social time and snacks in the multi-purpose room.

In order to have an event listed in the religion digest, it must be something that is not just a regular worship service.
